Not all here

1st of November:

"He was a lonely ghost uttering a truth that nobody would ever hear. But so long as he uttered it, in some obscure way the continuity was not broken." George Orwell, 1984

This is one of my favourite excerpts and some of the most beautiful words I have ever read in fiction. I find it fascinating how the character refers to himself as a ghost as he realises that he could be taken and killed at any time and from that perspective it's almost like he doesn't exist because of the impending possibility that he could be erased from existence at any moment.
I think this photo symbolises the fact that sometimes we can feel not altogether there and also how sometimes we can feel invisible. The rain adds to that melancholy sadness.

27th of January

The day set out in pictures below was a very interesting day. It was also exhausting as myself and a friend spent the entire day (from about 6:30am to 10pm) around people. We had lectures and meetings in the morning, got to see some friends and have lunch, spent the afternoon playing games, drinking tea, and watching a movie with a friend; and had bible study in the evening.

Let's start out with RISK!

My first time playing this acclaimed board game and look how crazy the territories were! Three streaks, each of us holding two continents.

Our game was temporarily interrupted by this beautiful critter:

Unfortunately the circumstances of our meeting were unfortunate as it had a damaged wing, but God has made some pretty wonderful creatures and it was nice to meet Sir Butterfly anyway.

 This:
Is rollercoaster hill. Pretty but incredibly steep! Unfortunately taking it like a rollercoaster was not on the list of safe options...

Hope you enjoyed some snapshots into my passed by day. Here is some refreshing water
